ALTURA - PELOTON LONG SLEEVE NIGHT VISION JERSEY - CYCLING WEEKLY- 9 OUT OF 10 - 22 FEBRUARY 2016

The Altura Peloton Night Vision jersey is a good thermal jersey for nighttime commuting on dry, cool evenings, with plenty of hi-viz and reflective details to make sure that you’re seen on the road.

The design of the jersey itself is fairly basic, but does a good job of keeping you warm in pretty chilly conditions. The Altura Peloton Night Vision jersey features Altura Thermo technology, which basically means that it comes with a fleecy inner that not only provides good insulation, but also feels very comfortable against your skin when riding.

However, the level of insulation means it’s quite hard to overheat in this jersey before the temperature begins to get into the high teens, and if you are overdressed then there’s always the full length zip to be pulled down to give a cooling flow of air.

As well being a good thermal jersey for autumn and spring commuting, I also got good use of the Altura Peloton Night Vision jersey through the winter months by using it as a middle layer between a base layer and jacket on really cold days, a job that it performed admirably.

The warmth of the Altura Peloton Night Vision jersey is not only down to the level of insulation, but also the excellent fit around the cuffs and the collar. Both are reasonably snug without being too tight, and the elasticated cuffs are particularly good, being easy to slip under gloves when needed.

The fit of the Altura Peloton Night Vision jersey is also pretty good, being described by Altura as a “Sport Fit”. In effect this means that it offers a fairly relaxed fit that is better suited to the less athletic riders among us. However, this isn’t to the point where it is baggy, with a medium fitting my slim 6ft frame perfectly.
